Fokienia hodginsii - Native of China. Fukiena province. Requires dry, shady situation when young. Foliage in flat sprays. In our climate, tolerates being very dry in summer, if watering is overdone this plant will not survive. Rare. Tree about 12 metres high in native habitat. In cultivation only a small shrub to 2 metres x 1.8 metres wide in 10 years. Zone 8. Photo is of Fokienia used as an indoor plant in the U.S.A. |
