Sequoiadendron giganteum -   Big Tree.   Wellingtonia. Giant Redwood.   Native of California, USA.   A true giant among trees.   A fine specimen tree where space is available.   Likes an annual rainfall of 1.3 metres in rich deep soil.  6 metres high x 4 metres wide in 10 years in our Nursery/Garden.   Zone 7.
Seedlings     PB 6.5    50-65 cm high    Not available this season

Sequoiadendron giganteum 'Cream Tower' -    Same growth habit as the species but being a lemon colour probably slower growing.   Further information in due course after some years of observation.

Grafted    PB         Not available this season

Sequoiadendron giganteum 'Dolimore' - A selection made in the South Island of New Zealand.   This one very much more compact than the Sequoiadendron giganteum 'Pendulum' form.   We are still evaluating this but it does seem a very neat compact form suitable for a small garden.  5.5 metres high x 70 cm wide in 10 years in our Nursery/Garden.

Grafted (Stkd)   PB     Not available this season.

Sequoiadendron giganteum 'Pendulum' - Weeping Wellingtonia.   This remarkable tree must have the greatest height-for-width ratio of any.   The branches hanging close but loose into the trunk make a tall tapering spire narrower than any other tree known to us.   An excellent ornamental.  Salt laden wind in our Garden ruins the overall appearance if this most unusual tree.   8 metres high x 80 cm wide in 15 years in our Nursery/Garden.

Grafted (Stkd)       Not available this season
